Emmure started with the dumb fun metal-bro releases Goodbye to the Gallows (Victory, 2007) and
The Respect Issue (Victory, 2008) . On their second album they come out of nowhere with a melodic
emo song Chicago's Finest which is still metalcore but very different from their other material. Their
sound gradually becomes more original and skillful with Felony (Victory, 2009) and
Speaker of the Dead (Victory, 2011), and eventually hit an unexciting plateau on
Slave to the Game (Victory, 2012) and Eternal Enemies (Victory, 2014)

The guitarist from The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza joins Emmure on
Look at Yourself (SharpTone, 2017) giving the band a huge comeback. His playing style sends the
band toward the sound of TDTE. He also plays on their next album Hindsight (SharpTone, 2020).
