Hailing from Florida, Creed released the independent My Own Prison (Blue Collar, 1997) which was
bought up by Wind-Up records and re-issued the same year. If you can get past the ridiculous Eddie Vedder
impression, this is one of the greatest rock albums of all time. The best songs are Torn, One, Unforgiven,
What's This Life For?, My Own Prison and Pity for a Dime.

They broke up after Human Clay (Wind-Up, 1999) and Weathered (Wind-Up, 2001), not without
topping charts with the perfect hit songs With Arms Wide Open, One Last Breath, My Sacrifice, Bullets,
Don't Stop Dancing, Higher and What If?.
