New Found Glory was one of the first bands signed by Drive Thru Records which had a lot of other bands making a large impact on fusing Emo and Pop Punk
in the 2000, New Found Glory being the most important example of this. Their debut record Nothing Gold Can Stay (Drive-Thru, 1999) is extremely raw
and lo-fi compared to their next material but beyond the sound quality, the material is groundbreaking and does a lot of what bands like Thursday and The Used
get way more credit for doing to introduce to people. Their next two albums feature much less of an emo style and leaning more into their melodic hardcore side.
New Found Glory (Drive-Thru, 2000) had a lot of great hits like "Hit or Miss" or "Dressed to Kill" which are extremely memorable. They followed it up with
Sticks and Stones (MCA, 2002) which has a few highlights, for example "Sonny", "The Story So Far" and the monster hit "My Friends Over You"
